The Balgownie Estate Wine Club

The Balgownie Estate Wine Club has been an integral part of Balgownie Estate philosophy since the Bendigo Estate was established in the early 1970’s. Some of our longer standing wine club members fondly recall the days when founder Stuart Anderson would personally 'load them up' with their allocation of hand made, single-estate Victorian wine. Wines of a quality and character rarely seen before. Some of these original wines still hold price of place in the cellars of our members.

Balgownie Estate is determined to maintain, even exceed wine quality achieved to date, an effort that is already being recognised by a number of leading wine writers and wine-club members. We are also determined to see our flagship wines, the Balgownie Estate Bendigo Cabernet Sauvignon and Balgownie Estate Bendigo Shiraz, achieve the recognition and standing that they rightfully deserve on the Australian wine scene. This does mean however that they will become more sought-after, perhaps even scarce in years to come. These are single-estate wines from fully-mature vineyards. As such production volumes will allows be restricted by vineyard boundaries and vintage yield.

We urge you to establish your status in the Balgownie Estate Wine Club sooner rather than later, to ensure that you have first option on these wines, regardless of available quantities.

Wine Club Obligation

There is NO joining fee. Simply purchase an initial six-bottles of wine from either our White label, Gold Label or Yarra Valley range (must be one range type only) and you will receive full-membership benefits for the next 12 months. After that you simply need to make an additional purchase or take-up one of our special wine offers in the following 12 month period and equal periods thereafter, to retain full-rights. On-line purchases are welcomed and there is no limit on purchase frequency or quantity over and above the minimum per annum requirements (unless specified). 

You will receive a members only bi-annual newsletter and should you also choose to do so, a quarterly update on new releases, special wine offers and events. Balgownie Estate recognises its role in reducing wastage and as such these publications are available in electronic version send-only, should this be your preferred option.  

As long as you fulfill your commitment to purchase the minimum requirement every 12-months, you will remain a fully-fledged member of the Balgownie Estate Wine Club. Should you be unable to purchase within a give 12-month period due to other considerations, please advise and we can suspend your membership for the period. This will be reinstated upon your return.
