The 2011 harvest was one of the most challenging on record combining very cool temperatures with above average rainfall.
Careful attention to detail in the vineyard resulted in well ripened, disease free fruit. Hand harvesting was employed for the entire vineyard and continued until late March for the last of the Shiraz pick, which was 2-3weeks later than usual.
Deep vibrant red colours with crimson hue, fill the glass. The aromas exhibit ripe, red berry fruits accompanied by spice and pepper notes.
An elegant and balanced palate follows, with soft ripe tannins complimenting the long savoury finish.
Will also improve over the next 3-5 years.
Serve with lamb, feta and mint sausages.
