This was the vintage that came at the end of the drought. Careful vineyard management by John Monteath and the team was the key to a successful season. All fruit was hand harvested and sorted prior to crushing.
In the winery the Pinot Noir was fermented in open vats with hand plunging and pumping over to gently extract the flavours and tannins. The wine was pressed to French barriques (20% new) and aged for 8 months prior to gentle filtration and bottling.
