Global Ballooning's number one priority is the safety of their passengers.
Only company in Victoria to employ multiple staff members with Civil Aviation and Safety Authority Maintenance Authority working under a Certificate of Approval. This Certificate is the highest possible in Australia to allow Global Ballooning to maintain its fleet to the highest possible manufacture and legislative standards.
Global Ballooning pilots are the best in the industry and firmly passionate about ballooning. Global Ballooning Chief Pilot, Kiff Saunders holds the highest qualification and is the only hot air ballooning examiner flying over Melbourne and Yarra Valley. You will find most of the pilots flying in Victoria including our competitors have been trained and examined by Kiff before receiving their commercial pilots licence.
Global Ballooning pilots have a combined total of over 10,800 hours flying balloons.
Global Ballooning fly all year round and have the largest fleet of balloons with over 15 balloons.

Australian Barbecue Academy

Bob Hart, food writer, author and broadcaster is about to embark on his latest food adventure – the Australian Barbecue Academy. For the first time ever a comprehensive but highly enjoyable and interactive barbecue masterclass will be held at Balgownie Estate Vineyard Resort & Spa during the Reap and Relish - Food & Wine Festival.

Bob is a passionate and knowledgeable master of all aspects of gourmet barbecuing, taking a hands-on masterclass approach he delivers a deeper appreciation of all types of barbecues; care and maintenance; preparation of rubs, barbecue and “mop” sauces; entrees, mains and even desserts on a range of barbecues including gas grills, charcoal kettles and smokers.

Graduates enjoy two days of luxury living, food and entertainment, and receive Bob's signed recipe book "Heat & Smoke", plus gifts and merchandise.

Yering Meadows

Yering Meadows, the home of the Croydon Golf Course is a 27 hole golf course designed by renowned golf course architect Ross Watson. The golf course will be open to the public at certain times of the week once fully completed.

The Clubhouse facilities include The Terrace Café which will be open daily providing lighter style dining, and is an ideal meeting place for coffee and cake or a glass of wine from our extensive Balgownie selection.

The Clubhouse has spectacular views of the Yarra Valley from all vantage points and is open to the public 7 days a week.

To complement our superb conference facilities, Balgownie Estate has partnered with Melbourne's premier AV company, Audio Visual Hire Australia (AVHA), a division of Audio Visual Technologies, to offer the most technologically advanced audio-visual equipment available.
